High Court judge tests Covid-19 positive

A High Court judge Justice Sashanka Shekhar Sarkar, who tested Covid-19 positive on May 11, is now undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, sources said.
The judge was first admitted to Mugda General Hospital on May 13 and then he was shifted to CMH after his condition deteriorated.
Attorney General Mahbubey Alam told the reporters that he also heard
about Justice Shashanka Shekhar.
The attorney general, however, could not say as to how the HC judge got infected.
The president on May 30, 2018 appointed Justice Shashanka Shekhar Sarkar and 17 others as additional judges of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court for two years.
