Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has criticized skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed after a horror defeat against the West Indies by 7 wickets on Friday, May 31 in Nottingham.
Shoaib censured him for his poor body as he regretted his nation’s exhibition against the Caribbean outfit. Not only Shoaib Akhter but also criticism of the Pakistan players coming from all the corner of the world including the fans and the former cricketers. But Shoaib Akhter came hard on the Pakistan captain individually after the terrible loss.
He mentioned Pakistan skipper as “fat and unfit”. In a video that is circulating around the social media, Akhtar could be seen criticizing Sarfaraz’s fat tummy and cheeks. “At the point when Sarfaraz Ahmed came for the toss, his stomach was standing out and his face was so fat. He’s the first captain I’ve seen who is so unfit. He’s not ready to move crosswise over and he’s battling with wicket-keeping,” the Rawalpindi Express said.
He also got shocked after watching the poor performance from the players and slammed their insensible batting. He was much surprised as he mentioned Pakistan’s batting in just one word “Speechless”. But later he controlled his emotions and said: “Ok the match is over. Recollecting my thoughts and emotions. We have to back these boys, they are representing our nation. They need our support throughout the World Cup. It’s a disappointing performance of Team Pakistan, let’s not disheart them more and back them up.”
Pakistan drooped to a terrible eleventh straight ODI rout as they lost their World Cup opener terribly against Jason Holder’s West Indies by 7 wickets. They played down just 21.4 overs scoring a dim 105 runs losing all their wickets in the match. They got no reply of the West Indian pacer and gave them all their wickets.
Pakistan will play their next match against the host England on June 3 at the same ground in Nottingham.
