Legendary film actor and dance director Ilias Javed has been suffering from serious illness for many days. He has been suffering from bladder cancer and his surgical operation was done one and half months ago in a city hospital.
Javed’s wife, Dolly Javed informed that after that operation they faced financial crisis to bear her husband’s treatment costs. In the meantime, corona virus situation deteriorated in the country. For this reason, Javed sought financial assistance from the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The Prime Minister handed over cash taka 10 lakh to Javed and his family.
After getting the financial assistance from the Prime Minister Javed told this correspondent, “Our Prime Minister is a real mother which she has proved again. If I would not get the financial support from her I and my family will surely affected. I am really grateful to her.”
Javed was popular among the heroes of the country from 1970 to 1989. He himself was a dancer and also took part in dancing with the heroines in the films. Shabana, Bobita, Anju Ghosh, Rozina, Sujata, Suchorita was his heroines in the silver screen. His presence on the screen was something special to the viewers. According to Javed, Dilip Kumar, Ranjan, Premnath were his idol heroes. His acting was highly appreciated in film Nishan. After acting in Urdu film Payel (1966) Javed’s name became popular to all. In 1974, he also started his career as dance director.
