A workshop on ‘HEMIS (Higher Education Management Information System) Users’ Feedback’ organized by Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) was held on Thursday at UGC auditorium.
UGC Chairman (State Minister) Prof Dr AK Azad Chowdhury attended the programme as the chief guest. Dr Md. Mokhlesur Rahman, Senior Operations Officer, World Bank was Special Guest on the occasion.
UGC Member Prof Dr Md Akhtar Hossain presided over the function. Md. Zahangir Alam, ndc, Project Director (Additional Secretary), HEQEP gave the welcome address.
UGC Chairman, in his speech said that ICT-based Higher Education Management Information System (HEMIS) is highly needed for efficient management, strategic policy and transparency of higher educational institutions and also access to world knowledge pool.
UGC Members- Prof Dr Mohammad Mohabbat Khan, Prof Dr Abul Hashem, UGC Secretary Dr Md Khaled, representatives from Ministry of Education, HEQEP, public and private universities of the country and UGC officials, among others were present on the occastion.
