A bus-helper was hacked to death inside the bus in Khulna city last night.
The victim was identified as Md Sabbir, 26, of Bagerhat. He was helper of a bus of Shohagh Paribahan, reports our local correspondent quoting Mamtajul Huq, officer-in-charge of Sonadanga Model Police Station.
The driver of the bus parked the vehicle at Shib Bari Mor around 12am after a trip from Dhaka and went home, the OC said adding that Sabbir remained in the bus.
Another driver was scheduled to take the bus for a trip this morning. Sabbir’s body was found in the bus, the police official added.
Police recovered the body from behind the driver’s seat. It had stab wounds on the head, neck and hands, said the OC.
Police primarily think that miscreants attacked Sabbir last night and left him badly wounded, he later died of severe blood-loss inside the vehicle.
The body has been sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
