Outgoing Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Benazir Ahemd termed his tenure as full of challenges, saying, “Hefajaat-e-Islami’s rally in the capital’s Motijheel on May 5 in 2013 was a big challenge for me.”
Benazir, who is soon going to take charge of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) as its chief, shared experience of his tenure as DMP commissioner at DMP Media Centre here on Tuesday.
“DMP personnel have been discharging their professional duties with utmost sincerity and dedication after taking their responsibilities as challenge to ensure security to the city dwellers,” he also said.
The outgoing DMP commissioner thanked the newsmen for helping him in discharging his duties appropriately and called upon them to help him (as RAB chief) in the days to come.
