Hedayet Mollah of Chittagong District Sports Association emerged men’s singles champion in the Victory Day Carrom competition beating Hafizur Rahman of Khulna by 2-0 set in the final held on Thursday at training room of Carrom Federation of Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium here, said a press release.
Besides, M Salahuddin Kaizir of Dhaka finished third position I the men’s singles event of the six-day meet, organized by Bangladesh Carrom Federation.
In the women’s section, Afsana Nasrin of Eden College emerged women’s singles champ[ion defeating Mina Robi Das of Sylhet while Ritu Chanda booked the third position in the meet.
A total of 45 men’s and women players from Dhaka, Dhaka District Sports Association, Khulna, Bagerhat, Sylhet, Dhaka University, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology Eden Women’s College and other educational institutions participated in the competition.
