Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places.
The monsoon low over North Bay and adjoining
Bangladesh-West Bengal coast persists, said weather forecast report of the metrology department here yesterday. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay, it said.
Day and night temperature may fall by 1 to 3 degree Celsius over the country, the release added. The highest rainfall for the last 24 hours was recorded 267 millimeter (mm) in Chittagong, 166 mm in Sandwip followed by 155 mm in Sitakunda.
Besides, the maximum temperature was recorded 34.5 degree Celsius respectively at Sylhet, Rajshahi and Ishurdi on Thursday while the minimum temperature recorded 24.5 degree Celsius on Friday at Rangamati.
