Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Wednesday predicted moderately heavy to very heavy falls at some places over southern part of the country.
It also forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions today.
Mild heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and it may abate.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country and rainfall activity is likely to continue for the next 72hours.
Maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 38.3 degrees Celsius at Dinajpur and minimum temperature on Wednesday 25.0 degrees Celsius at Madaripur.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 73 millimeters (mm).
