The prevailing mild heat wave may abate at some places over the country as day temperature may fall slightly. “Mild heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and it may abate from some places over the country,” said a met office bulletin issued here on Friday morning.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
The met bulletin predicted that weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country in the next 24 hours as of 9 am yesterday.
But, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions and at one or two places over Khulna, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and the region of Cumilla with hails at isolated places, it said. The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded 38 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, while Friday’s minimum temperature was 21.8 degrees Celsius in Tatulia under Rangpur division.
