Heat wave continues to sweep throughout the country, making life miserable.
According to the Department of Meteorology, country’s highest temperature 40.6 degree Celsius was recorded on Monday in Chuadanga. The highest temperature in Dhaka was 36.6 degrees Celsius till 6pm.
The mercury may go up slightly and night temperature may remain nearly
unchanged over the country, Met office said. It said severe heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Pabna, Jessore and Kushtia while mild to moderate one over Dhaka and Rangpur divisions and the rest part of Rajshahi and Khulna divisions, and it may continue. Many people do not venture outside amid sweltering heat.
