Chittagong Metropotian Hospital under new innovation of cosmetic surgery , underwent a critical heart operation without opening the heart of a 8 years old child named Surjya Moni of Cox’s Bazar district on November 14 last.
The patient was carrying the heart complications since her birth . Under the new method of cosmetic surgery, surgical operation done by cutting only 2 inch portion of body under right hand .
Chief Cardiatic Surgeon of Chittagong Metropolitan Hospital Dr.Sarwar Kamal with his team successfully completed the operation . Other members of the cardiatic operation team led by Dr Sarwar Kamal are – Dr.Shariful Islam, Dr.Sumon Sikder and other associates .
Dr. Sarwar Kamal told this reporter that i n general the heart operations are done by opening the heart . In case of adult women, operation under cosmetic method are done by cutting body beneath the breast. Dr. Kamal also said due to 8 yrs old child , we operated him by cutting 2 inch portion under right hand instead of chest.
The cardiatic surgeon further said under the new device of cosmetic method of surgery , the marks of the cutting in body will not be visible in any side.
He said the new method of cosmetic surgery in open heart operation successfully innovated at Chittagong Metropolitan Hospital recently under the supervision of Dr.Sarwar Kamal. Mentionable that in last month one critical open heart operation under went on a 65 yrs old women in this hospital simultaneously in heart and artery bypass , hospital sources said.
