Court Correspondent :
A Dhaka court on Thursday deferred the hearing on charge framing in the Gatco graft case against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and others to September 25.
Judge-in-Charge Rabiul Alam of the Special Judge Court-3 reset the date for the indictment hearing in the case at the newly-constructed temporary court

in front of the Keraniganj Central Jail.
The authorities could not produce Khaleda Zia in the court as she is undergoing treatment at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case against 13 persons, including Khaleda Zia and her late younger son Arafat Rahman Koko on September 2, 2007, with Tejgaon Model Police Station for their role in corruption regarding making a contract with Global Agro Trade (Private) Limited (Gatco) for container management as inland container depots in Dhaka and Chattogram.
Formal charge was submitted against 24 on May 13, 2008. But of the 24 accused, six including Koko, former Finance Minister Saifur Rahman and Matiur Rahman Nijami died.
