Court Correspondent :
A Dhaka court yesterday (Monday) again deferred the hearing on charge-framing against BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and 28 other leaders in a case filed against them. The new date is October 30.
Following a time petition filed on behalf of defence, Dhaka’s Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ali Masud Sheikh rescheduled the hearing on Monday.
All 29 BNP leaders and activists, including Mirza Fakhrul Islam, BNP Vice- President Abdullah
Al Noman, Standing Committee members Barrister Moudud Ahmed and Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, were present in the court.
The instant case accuses the BNP politicians of attack on police and vandalism of transport during a protest on March 2 last year.
