Court Correspondent :A Dhaka court on Wednesday deferred the hearing on framing charge against BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and 28 other leaders of BNP-led 20-party alliance to November 22 in the case filed over explosion in the Secretariat. Dhaka’s Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge-4, Ruhul Amin passed the order after hearing on a petition submitted by the defence counsel seeking time. Defence lawyer Joinul Abedin Mezbah appeared in the court on behalf of Mirza Fakhrul and sought time as the BNP leader has been undergoing treatment in Singapore. A case was filed with Shahbagh Police Station against BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam and other leaders of the party in connection with the cocktail explosion in and outside the Secretariat in the city during the opposition sponsored countrywide hartal on April 29, 2012.Later, on May 3, 2012, Detective Branch, Police Inspector Tapan Chandra Saha submitted the charge-sheet in the case against the alliance leaders.
