The Cyber Tribunal (Bangladesh), Dhaka today will hear the charge sheet of the case filed against Barrister Mainul Hosein. Earlier, on November 14, the only cyber court of the country fixed November 29 for hearing the charge sheet filed against the former Adviser of the Caretaker Government under the Digital Security Act.
Judge of the tribunal Mohammad-As-Shams Joglul Hossain is likely to hear a petition filed on behalf of Barrister Mainul Hosein seeking bail.
The case was filed on the charge of passing indecent comment against journalist Masuda Bhatti during a TV talk show on October 16.
“The court will issue a production warrant to produce Barrister Mainul Hosein in the court today (Thursday) and the court will accept the charge-sheet”, said Public Prosecutor Nazrul Islam Shamim on November 13.
Earlier, on October 24, Sumona Akter Lily, Awami League Youth and Sports Sub-Committee member, filed the case against Barrister Mainul with the only Cyber Court of the country under Sections 25(2) and 29 of the Act.
