On November 11 last year, the court has issued arrest warrant against Kader Siddiqui, as he was absent from the court on different scheduled dates.
According to case statement, Kader Siddiqui, in a rally of Krishak Sramik Janata League in the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh in the capital on February 9 of 2013, said, “It is not possible to bring war criminals under trial keeping ‘Razakar Home Minister in position.”
The case statement also said that MK Alamgir was not only the Home Minister but also former President of Bangladesh Orthoniti Samity as well as a noted economist of South East Asia and a popular writer.
The statement further said, the nation is indebted to his family though no member of MK Alamgir’s family participated in the liberation war directly, adding that none of his family was a Razakar.
