A Dhaka court yesterday (Wednesday) fixed October 12 for hearing in a case filed against 26 BNP leaders and activists, including the party’s Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
Magistrate Tareque Moinul Islam Bhuiyan of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order on Wednesday noon following appeal of defense lawyer Sanaullah Miah.
The case was filed with Paltan Police Station in the city against other leaders, including Standing
Committee member Mirza Abbas and Joint Secretary General Amanullah Aman, for their alleged involvement in vandalism, arson and explosion of cocktail during the shutdown and blockade on March 2 last year.
