A student Institute of Health Technology Barishal was injured by torturing of fellow students over controlling hostel dining on early Friday.
Then the victim Salahuddin, a residential student of the IHTB boys’ hostel, after informed by the institute authoirity was rescued by police and admitted at Barishal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital.
The IHTB authourity forming a three-member probe committee asked them to submit report within three working days.
We heard that the incident was happened over controlling dining facilities of the hostel between two factions of BCL activists. Hard action would be taken against the liable persons involved with this incident, said Saiful Islam, principal of BIHT.
The victim, witnesses, IHTB and police sources said, victim Salahuddin was old first year student of dental faculty and resident of room no.413 of the BIHT hostel.
About 1:30 AM Friday Imon, Devjit, Soikat, Shirshendu, Mukit, second year students of BIHT, entering inside the room of Salahuddin engaged in altercation over some disputes of controlling the hostel and dining.
After some time when they went out Salahuddin closed the door of the room. But they again breaking the door of the room entering inside beat and tortured Salahuddin for about an hour.
