Director General of the Health Services (DGHS) Dr Abul Bashar Md Khurshid Alam said frontline health workers and media workers will get priority over Covid-19 vaccines, once made available to Bangladesh along with the rest of the world.
“We are coordinating with the World Health Organization to ensure that we receive the Covid-19 vaccine when it is invented and shared with the rest of the world.”
The newly-appointed Health DG said this while talking to journalists after paying homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, Health DG Abul Basar arrived at Tungipara and paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by laying flowers on the altar of his tomb.
