The headmaster of a school has allegedly fled away with about one crore taka in the name of filling up forms from two hundred examinees at Gafargaon in Mymensingh recently.
Failing to get admit cards the examinees took out a procession by breaking Section 144 around the examination hall. At one point the examinees besieged local police station demanding arrest of the headmaster.
It is alleged that Maruf Ahmmad , Headmaster of Roha High School who is also involved in Jamaat politics counterfeited the documents of Education Board in the name of false admit cards of the SSC examinees.
Sources said, the headmaster and former Jammat Amir of Gafargaon Municipality took TK one crore by saying to sit for the SSC examination from his school and collected TK 25 to 40 thousand from each student and thus about 200 students paid the amount.
On Wednesday noon, the examinees came to school to take admit cards but the headmaster has fled away from school keeping lock the school. Some 16 students of Uthuri junior High school filled form up from his school .But 16 students of Uthuri High school did not get admit cards. As a result , they could not sit for the SSC Examination in this year. The students spent the whole night in the school play ground sleeplessly. After that the students went to his house without finding him and came to Gafaraon Islamia Govt.High School Center.
Mim, Jannat, Shamsunnahar Sorna of Uthuri village, Sajib, Hajera, and Jumurof Dhamail village informed , they filled form up through Yasmin Sultana Popy, Headmistress of Uthuri Junior high school . But they did not get admit cards.They did not get any cell phone number of teacher or headmistress. They went to the UNO Dr Shamim Rahman and he assured them to look into this matter.
The correspondent could not get any news from headmistress for switch off her cell phone . The cell phone of Maruf Ahmmad headmaster of Roha High school is also switch off.
At that time Center Secretary Nurul Islam Shikder informed that he knew nothing about their admit cards or permission to sit for the examination. At this they became excited and took out a procession.
Upazila Secondary Education officer Md.Belayet Hussaion said, The headmaster did this heinous act every year. The proper action will be taken against him.
UNO Dr Shamim Rahman said, he directed Secondary Education officer to take necessary action against that headmaster. Besides , he has given the guardian to file a case to Gafargaon Thana against him.
It is mentionable that Jammat Maruf Ahmmad with some dishonest Board employees took this money from the examinees from various school to sit for the examination in Gafargaon from different places in the country since 2011. That headmaster Maruf Ahmmad gave the examinees admit cards without written at night before examination in 2016.
Later, the examinees filled up these admit cards from different computer in the market. The examinees got admit cards before two hours of examination in 2017. In spite of this heinous act for several years lawful action will not be taken against him.
