Goutma started his acting career by
a role of childhood of hero Subrato in
noted director and cinematographer Rafiqul Bari Chowdhury’s a movie
titled Chandidas O Rojokini.
Later he acted in many movies like Tamij Uddin Rizvi’s Jeler Meye, Sahosh, Doshi, Rajar Bhai Badshah, Bahadur Nawjoan, etc.
After getting older Goutam first acted in Tonmoy Tansen’s a TV play titled Tokhon-o Jantey Baki. By this play
popular TV actor Sajal also debuted his career. Monalisa was their co-actress.
Goutam also became popular to act in Mir Sabbir’s directed a mega serial titled Mokbul. For Bangla TV in London he also acted in Firoz Khan’s a play titled Bangladesh To London.
In last Eid, he acted in a telefilm titled Shat Bhai Champa under the direction of Tonmoy Tansen. This time he wants to engage with acting in the film industry.
“Now acting is my profession. With the cooperation of Rafiqul Bari Chowdhury I became an actor. If he would alive I could act in many plays,” Goutam said.
