Staff Reporter :
The High Court (HC) on Sunday halted the effectiveness of a government letter on postponing flight of United Airways for one month.
On June 26, Civil Aviation authority in a letter asked the United Airways to postpone its flight if it doesn’t pay due bill by June 29.
Challenging the legality of the letter, the Chairman of United Airways filed a writ with HC yesterday.
After hearing on the matter, a vacation bench
comprising Justice Dr Quazi Reza-Ul Hoque and Justice Md Akram Hossain Chowdhury came with the order and issued a rule.
Lawyer AM Aminuddin and Ragib Rauf Chowdhury stood up in the court on behalf of United Airways.
