Staff Reporter :
The High Court on Thursday asked the concerned bodies of the government to submit the probe report prepared by a body of the Education Ministry over the leaked phone conversation between Viqarunnisa Noon School & College Principle Kamrun Nahar and Guardians’ Forum leader Mir Shahabuddin Tipu.
The respondents have been asked to submit the report on October 31 this year and the court will pass further order over the issue on that day.
The High Court bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman passed the order after holding hearing on a writ petition filed in this regard.
Advocate Abdullah Al Harun Bhuiyan appeared in the court on behalf of the writ petitioners, while Deputy Attorney General Bepul Bagmar represented the state.
Mohammad Morshed Alam, a guardian of two students of the Viqarunnisa Noon School & College, filed the writ petition on August 8 this year seeking High
Court directives upon the respondents to restrain the Principle from her duties in the institutions.
Upon hearing the petition the High Court on August 9 wanted to know the authorities’ stance on Viqarunnisa Noon School and College Principal Kamrun Nahar whose alleged telephone conversation went viral on social media in July.
The court asked Deputy Attorney General Bipul Bagmar to communicate with the Education Ministry and governing body of the institution over the court’s asking.
During hearing on the petition petitioner’s lawyer Abdullah Harun Bhuiyan told the HC that Kamrun Nahar has no ethical right to hold the post of Principal after her conversation going viral, as her obscene language will have an adverse impact on the students.
Upon hearing the petition the High Court on August 9 said if the language that was used by Viqarunnisa Noon School & College Principal Kamrun Nahar in the phone call is true, it is certainly reprehensible.
