The High Court on Monday asked Mayors of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) to submit a list of public toilets in the capital city by December 14.

and Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif passed the order as Suo Moto.
In addition, HC issued a rule on the matter. The Court asked the government to explain as to why not establishing required number of toilets to confirm adequate services for citizens of the city should not be declared illegal.
Health Secretary, Mayor of DNCC and DSCC, Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha and other concerned have to comply by two weeks.
Deputy Attorney General Mukhlesur Rahman said that HC passed a Suo Moto order after the matter came before them.
