The High Court (HC) on Thursday directed the government to file a list of the country’s all the hospitals with Intensive Care Units (ICU) and Coronary Care Units (CCU). The court asked the Health Ministry to submit the report in the court by April 24, and to finalise the rules for running private clinics, hospitals and diagnostic centres by this time.
The report should have the number of manpower and specialists assigned to the ICUs and CCUs and the cost for setting up such units.
The HC bench of Justice J B M Hassan and Justice Md Khairul Alam passed the order while hearing a writ filed by Human Rights Lawyers and Environment Society of Bangladesh.
