BSS, Dhaka :
The High Court (HC) on Sunday ordered the trial court concerned to dispose of case against officials of Destiny-2000 Ltd, including its managing director Rafikul Amin, by April 18, 2019.
A High Court division bench comprising Justice Md. Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Dr. K. M. Hafizul Alam passed the order on Sunday.
“Following a plea of Anti-Corruption Commission, the High Court on August 31, 2016, had asked the trial court to dispose of the case within a year. But the trial on June 24 informed the Supreme Court that it would need at least a year more to dispose of the case as there are 219 witnesses in the case. So the court on Sunday set a new date,” deputy attorney general AKM Amin Uddin Manik said. The ACC had filed the case on July 31, 2012.
