UNB, Dhaka :The High Court on Wednesday asked the Directorate of Primary Education to appoint 2500 assistant teachers,who were enlisted in the primary school teachers’ pool.An HC bench comprising Justice Tariq ul Hakim and Justice Bhishmadev Chakrabortty passed the order after the final hearing on 72 petitions filed on various occasions.The HC also directed the authorities concerned torefrain from issuing any circular about recruiting primary assistant teachers until the appointment of those is completed.Barrister M Amir-Ul Islam stood for the petitioners with the assistance of Sheikh Mohammad Morshed, Siddique Ullah Mia and Khairul Alam while Deputy Attorney General Amatul Karim represented the state.
