HC asks BNP leader Aman to surrender in six weeks in court

The High Court on Monday directed BNP leader Aman Ullah Aman to surrender in six weeks in the trial court concerned in a case filed over issuing death threat to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The court also asked the law enforcers not to harass or arrest Aman in six weeks in connection with the case.
The HC bench of Justice Jahangir Hossain and Justice Md Kamrul Hossain Mollah passed the order after hearing a petition filed by Aman seeking bail in the case.
Advocate Zainul Abedin and Advocate Sagir Hossain Leon appeared for Aman, while Deputy Attorney General Aminul Islam represented the government.
A B Siddique, President of a pro-Awami League organistion Bangladesh Janonetri Parishad, filed the case in the Metropolitan Magistrate court of Dhaka on August 5 against BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and some other leaders of the party, including Aman Ullah Aman.
The same day, Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Satyabrata Sikder issued arrest warrants against the BNP leaders.
