Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina phoned Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday evening and enquired about the health condition of his ailing wife Shubhra Mukherjee.
Hearing the news of sickness of Indian President’s wife, the Prime Minister phoned Pranab at 7:15 pm, enquired about Shubhra’s health condition and wished her early recovery, PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told UNB.
During the 20-minute telephone conversation, Pranab Mukherjee recalled the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the National Mourning Day.
He told the Bangladeshi Prime Minister that he already gone through the ‘Unfinished Memoirs of Bangabandhu’ and mentioned some important parts of the book.
Younger daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Rehana also talked to Pranab Mukherjee, enquired about the health condition of his wife and prayed wished the early recovery of Shubhra Mukherjee, a Bangladeshi origin Indian.
