AL manifesto after Victory Day: Hasina starts polls campaign from tomorrow

Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will start her election campaign from Wednesday, as the upcoming 11th National Election will be held on December 30.
Joint-General Secretary of Awami League Jahangir Kabir Nanak confirmed it at a press conference held in the Awami League President’s political office in Dhanmondi on Monday.
Joint General Secretary of AL Abdur Rahman, Organizing Secretaries Ahmad Hossain, BM Muzzammel Haque and Information and Research Secretary Afzal Hussain were present on the occasion, among others.
Nanak said, “Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will visit Tungi Para on Wednesday (December 12). She will officially start her election campaign after offering Fateha for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s grave.” “The Prime Minister will attend a public meeting in her Constituency (Gopalganj-3. From there she will go to several districts to participate in the election campaign.” “We do not want BNP to boycott the election. BNP is trying to abandon the election, fearing disgraceful defeat,” Nanak said in the briefing. Meanwhile, Jahangir Kabir Nanak said, the AL will issue its manifesto emphasizing development and quality education after observing the Victory Day. “The AL has already finalized its election manifesto that prioritizes balanced development of the country, quality education, and creation of employment opportunities for the youth,” he said. “There will also be surprise information about technology segment in the manifesto,” Nanok said. To finalize the manifesto, Awami League had formed an election manifesto sub-committee headed by the party’s Presidium Member Abdur Razzaque. Other members namely the Prime Minister’s Economic Affairs Adviser Mashiur Rahman, Prime Minister’s Political Affairs Adviser HT Imam, Premier University Vice-Chancellor and Awami League Adviser Dr Anupom Sen, former Dhaka University VC AAMS Arefin Siddique, Awami League Organizing Secretary Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel and Awami League Deputy Office Secretary Biplob Barua.
