Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday expressed deep shock at the death of Lalmonirhat Awami League member and Aditmari upazila Awami League president Shawkat Ali.
Hasina, also the Awami League President, prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to his bereaved family members.
Shawkat Ali breathed his last at 6am at the age of 54.
He left behind wife, one son, two daughters, and a host of relatives, colleagues and well-wishers to mourn his death.
AL General Secretary and Highways and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader also expressed deep sorrow at the death of Shawkat Ali.
