The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will return home on Thursday after a six-day to the UK.
She will set off for Bangladesh by a regular flight of Bangladesh Biman at 6:15 London local time on Wednesday. The flight is set to arrive Dhaka Thursday morning. She touched down London’s Heathrow Airport for the private trip on Friday afternoon.
This is her first visit to London after her niece, Tulip Siddiq, daughter of Sheikh Rehana, was elected a British MP on May 8. Tulip Siddiq’s elder brother Radwan Mujib Siddiq and his family also accompanied the prime minister. On Sunday, Hasina joined a reception ceremony organised by UK Awami League .
She joined another reception programme thrown by the new members of the British Parliament on the next day.
She heard Tulip Siddiq’s first speech at the British Parliament on Tuesday. Her younger sister Sheikh Rehana, son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, daughter-in-law Christine Overmire, daughter Saima Wazed Putul and Rehana’s son Radwan Mujib Siddiq accompanied her.
