The import of 100 MW power from Palatana plant of India’s South Tripura and the export of 10 Gbps internet bandwidth to the neighbouring country are expected to start on March 23.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi are scheduled to jointly inaugurate the initiative through a virtual communication media (videoconferencing).
Both the Prime Minister’s offices have drawn up the schedule for the inauguration of the projects through videoconferencing from Dhaka and New Delhi.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar will also join them from Agartala, according to sources at the foreign ministry.
