Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Awami League (AL) Presidium Member and former Home Minister Advocate Sahara Khatun MP.
In a condolence message on Friday, Dr Hasan, also Joint General Secretary of the ruling Awami League, said the country has lost a dedicated and patriotic politician at her death.
As the first woman Home Minister of the country, her contribution to the politics would remain fadeless in our memory, he added.
The minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to her bereaved family members.
Meanwhile, State Minister for Information Dr Md Murad Hassan also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Advocate Sahara Khatun.
