Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Md Mainuddin Chowdhury, elder brother of Chattogram City Corporation former mayor late ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury.
In a condolence message on Wednesday, Hasan, also Awami League Joint General Secretary, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Mainuddin died at a hospital in the port city while undergoing treatment at the age of 78.
