After taking break willingly, noted actor Hasan Masood has become busy with acting again. He is going to work in Kolkata’s movie for the first time. Based on Bibhutibhushan Bondyopadhyay’s story Canvasser, Debraj Dey is going to make the film Feriwala. Hasan Masood has confirmed he will play the lead role, Krishnolal in the movie. After the Corona situation remains normal, shooting of the movie will start.
While talking about acting in Kolkata’s movie for the first time Hasan Masood said, “It is really a delightful matter for me. I have excitement in this regard because for the first time I am going to act in a movie outside the country. Therefore, I am acting in the lead role in the movie. I believe it will be a nice movie. However, I have liked its story and my role.” After acting for long time Hasan Masood took four years break from acting. Few days ago, he returned to acting through Mostafa Kamal Raz’s drama serial Hit. In 2004, Hasan Masood started acting with Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s movie Bachelor. On the TV screen, he was first seen in an episode of a drama serial, directed by Mannan Hira and telecasted on NTV, against Deepa Khandaker. Hasan Masood was born at Mominpur village of Bauphal upazila in Patuakhali. His only son Surjo is now studying at Mechanical Engineering in a university in USA now. Wife Shimul and his all dreams revolve with their only son. His own home at Nanduhar village of Swarupkathi (now Nesarabad thana) in Pirojpur. When he was captain in Bangladesh Army he took self retirement. Later, he worked in The New Nation, Daily Star and BBC. He also completed five-year course in Nazrul song from Chhayanaut for learning music. He led the music squad of Udichi. In 1983, he went to Bangladesh Military Academy. His only released solo album was Hridoyghotito. Lyrics of the songs of the album were written by Marzuk Russell and its music was composed by late Sanjeeb Choudhury.
