Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Monday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of veteran journalist and the Daily Janakantha Editor Atiqullah Khan Masud.
In a message of condolence, the minister said he (Masud) created such an emblem of policy and ideology in editing and journalism in his long carrier that has remained example.
He recalled Masud’s contribution to journalism and said the nation has lost a dedicated and sincere editor at his death.
Hasan, also Awami League Joint General Secretary, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Janakantha was first published in 1993 with Atiqullah Khan Masud as its editor.
