Hasan Al Mamun named Assistant Coach of BD Football team

Former captain of Bangladesh National Football team Hasan Al Mamun has been named the Assistant Coach of Bangladesh Football team. Earlier, Hasan acted as an assistant coach of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited for a couple of years. Former footballer of Bangladesh National Football team Iqbal Hossain has been made Manager of the team.
The meeting of the National Team Management Committee of the Bangladesh Football federation (BFF) was held on Wednesday. After the meeting, Chairman of the National Team Management Committee of BFF Kazi Nabil Ahmed said, ” Bangladesh Football team will take part in the residential camp at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden Hotel in the city before the team will leave for Maldives. Hasan Al Mamun has been appointed the Assistant Coach, while Iqbal Hossain has been made Manager of the team.”
Iqbal Hossain has gotten the post of Manager of Bangladesh after one year. He acted as manager for Nepal tour in March of last year. Hasan Al Mamun and Iqbal Hossain have been appointed their respective posts for Bangladesh Football team’s FIFA friendly matches in March.
Bangladesh will play two friendly football matches in FIFA window in March.
Bangladesh will take on Maldives in their first FIFA friendly match on March 24. Bangladesh will go to Maldives on March 22.
Bangladesh team will return home on March 25. Bangladesh will face Mongolia in their second FIFA friendly match on March 29 at Sylhet District Stadium in Sylhet.
According to the latest FIFA rankings, Bangladesh’s ranking is 186, while Maldives ranking is 157 and Mongolia’s ranking is 187.
Meanwhile, the National Team Management Committee of BFF has decided that the fate of Eleta Kingsley will be decided after inclusion of him by Head Coach of Xavier Cabrera. Eleta Kingsley is a Nigerian born footballer. He has gotten citizenship of Bangladesh recently. If Xavier Cabrera has included him in his squad, the BFF will talk to FIFA to give permission to play him for Bangladesh.
