Researcher Harun-Ar-Rashid has been awarded Nawab Abdul Latif Award 2014 for his excellent contribution to Bangla Literature & Social Development. In 2009 he won Professor Abul Fazal Award. In 2008 he won World Museum Memorial Foundation Award for his works on literature, environment and economy, says a press release.
Harun has about 40 research and development based books to his credit. He has been involved in writing for over three decades. He visited many countries of the world and in 2005 he performed holy Hajj.
He served 35 years in Multinational & National company in higher post. He is founder chairman of WALL (Water, Air, Light & Land) Foundation for safe living.
He is a life member of Bangla Academy and Bangladesh Asiatic Society.
