Yussuf Abdullah Harun FCA, MP, and Mahbubul Alam, President of Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) were re-elected as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asia Insurance Ltd unanimously at its 137th Board of Directors Meeting recently.
Harun obtained B.com (Hons) Degree from University of Dhaka in the year 1967 and Qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
He had been elected twice as member of the Parliament from Cumilla -3 (Muradnagar) in the 10th and the 11th parliament elections.
Meanwhile, Mahbubul Alam started his business after completion of his education and established himself as a leading entrepreneur. His business affiliation includes life and non-life Insurance, Steel Industry, Trading of various commodities.
Alam, also Chairman of Diamond Life Insurance Company Ltd and founding general secretary of the Chittagong University Alumni association, has been elected President of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the fourth consecutive term.
