Harashpur-Mirzapur road needs repair urgently

The road from Mirzapur to Harashpur is 6 km. It submerges even in light rain. Thousands of people from two upazilas (Madhabpur and Bijoynagar upazilas) and three unions are constantly use the road. The role of roads in the economic development of the country is immense. The role of this road in the war of independence of the country is immense. Small and big holes exist in most parts of the road. Every day small and big accidents happen. Several big potholes are in Paikpara, Bagdia Amtali and Bagdia areas. Meanwhile, due to the dilapidated condition of the road, people have to pay extra fare while traveling. So the locals demand repair.
Ambia Khatun was on her way to Sadar Hospital for treatment during her pregnancy. The journey was extremely risky.
While traveling by road, I talked to Zakaria, a student of Brahmanbaria Government College. He expressed his displeasure and said that this road is very important.
Therefore, the locals are urging the concerned authorities to repair this road in the public interest.
Upazila engineer Anisur Rahman Bhuiyan said the road is awaiting approval from the ministry for renovations. At present, arrangements will be made to talk to the authorities to repair the big potholes in the road.
