Today is the birthday of noted singer Sabina Yasmin. She is the living legend of Bangladesh and also pride of the country. She will be remembered by all only for her rendered patriotic songs. She has also rendered songs for the country’s special days, which will live forever. Sabina rendered thousand numbers of play-back songs for many films.
On the occasion of her birthday, Sabina Yasmin will be present at a live musical show online today at 7:30pm. Noted lyricist Mohammad Rafiquzzaman and singers of present generation will be also present in the programme. New generation’s singers will render songs in the programme, while Sabina Yasmin will take part in discussion.
While talking about her birthday Sabina Yasmin said, “When my birthday comes I miss my parents and sisters a lot. I try to forget them after getting everybody’s love and wishes. Everybody prays for me.”
As a child artiste, Sabina Yasmin first lent her voice for Ehtesham directed film Notun Sur under Robin Ghosh’s music composition in 1962. But she debut her career in play-back rendering the song titled Modhu Joshna Dipali under Altaf Mahmud’s music direction for Amzad Hossain and Nurul Bachchu directed film Agun Niye Khela in 1967. She got Ekushey Award in 1984 and Independence Award in 1996. She got National Film Award for 14 times.
