The health condition of BNP standing committee member Brigadier General (Rtd) ASM Hannan Shah has slightly improved. The former minister was taken to Singapore from the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka where he was admitted on September 6.
“His health condition slightly improved after a successful surgery on his
heart. His family members have sought doa from the countrymen for his quick recovery,” his Assistant Personal Secretary Shajahan Siraj told The New Nation yesterday.
An air ambulance carried him to Singapore from the Dhaka airport late on Sunday, said the family sources.
“He has been admitted to the Raffles Heart Centre,” his son Shah Rezaul Hannan said.
The 77-year-old former Army Brigadier General was kept on life-support since he was admitted to the CMH.
