Police have recovered the hanging body of a newly married youth named Sabibul Islam Shipon (25) at Ghior in Manikganj.
Sabibul Islam is the son of Siraj Uddin of Rathura Radhanagar area of Baniajuri union of Shiponupazila. She got married a month ago with the consent of her family. Neighbours reported seeing Shipon hanging from a tree next to his home in the morning.
Locals and relatives said Shipon married a 18-year-old girl from Teghuri area of Sadar upazila a month ago with the consent of the family.
Their family was going on normally. After dinner on Saturday (March 5), the husband and wife go to bed together. Around midnight, he (Shipon) called out on his mobile and left the room to talk. After talking on the phone, the wife fell asleep thinking that her husband would return home.
On 6 march at around 7.30 am, the neighbors saw the hanging body of Shipon and informed the police.
Officer-in-Charge of Ghior police station Riaz Uddin Biplob said dead body has been recovered from the spot and sent it to the district hospital morgue for autopsy. Shipon’s brother has filed a case with the police station.
