The Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology of Hamdard University Bangladesh organized a daylong festival “Science & Technology Fair 2016” recently at the premises of the campus.
The whole program was twofold. In the first part students from different colleges participated in Science Olympiad. A total of 112 students from 9 colleges attended the program. In the second part, students from Hamdard University Bangladesh took part in the project fair, who exhibited 41 projects.
Managing Director of Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh and Founder of Hamdard University Bangladesh, Dr. Hakim Md. Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan was present as the Chief Guest at the Festival. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Tanvir Ahmed Khan and Brig. Gen. (Rtd.) M. Sakhawat Hussain appeared as the Special Guest. Dean, Faculty of Science, Engineering & Technology, Professor Dr. Md. Ismail Jabiullah Presided over the program.
Dr. Hakim Md. Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan visited the project stalls and admired it vary much. He encouraged the students to do better in their own fields. Professor Dr. Tanvir Ahmed Khan appreciated this kind of initiative and mentioned that Science Fair is the place where students can show their creativity, critical way of thinking and scientific merit through various innovative projects. In addition Prof. Khan said science fair assists to find out new flourishing scientists. Brig. Gen. (Rtd.) M. Sakhawat Hussain was very happy to attend the festival.
