A hajj pilgrim died from illness at Shah Amanat International Airport in the city on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Yunus, 62, a resident of Nazirpara of the city’s Dakkhin Patenga.
Sources at the airport said Yunus, along with his wife, was to board a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, scheduled to take off at 3:15 am, to go to Saudi Arabia to perform hajj.
All of a sudden, he fell ill around 1.00 am at the immigration lounge and later died.
