Hajj flight from Aug 4

Staff Reporter :The first Hajj flight from Bangladesh will take off for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) on August 4 and and continue until September 5, while the return flights are scheduled to run between September 17 and October 15.The tentative dates for Hajj flights were fixed at a meeting held in the civil aviation ministry onTuesday, said Civil Aviation Minister Rashed Khan Menon.He said, “A total of 1,01,758 pilgrims from Bangladesh will perform Hajj this year”. Therefore, a total of 144 flights will be operated to carry the Hajj pilgrims.The Civil Aviation Minister said, according to the Hajj packages “Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Saudi Arabian Airlines will jointly carry the pilgrims.” The two airlines will carry equal number of pilgrims. But there will be no third carrier airlines to fly the pilgrims from Bangladesh, the minister said.
