For the first time, Mirzapore Ex-Cadets’ Association (MECA) Night was held at Army Golf Club in the capital on Valentine’s Day. Seven hundred ex-cadets of Mirzapore Cadet College attended the event with their family members. In the cultural programme, popular singer of present time Haimanti Rakshit rendered songs in the function. She enthralled the audience by rendering popular songs in her one hour long performance.
Haimanti said, “The programme was arranged in organized way. I never felt tired during performing in the show. I really enjoyed the show. I give thanks to treasurer of MECA Nazmul Bhai to give me the scope to perform in the show.”
Meanwhile, last week Haimanti went to Singapore to perform in a show organised by expatriate Bangladeshis there.
