Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder, former MP and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pubali Bank Limited, has been appointed as Chairman of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society for 3 years, says a press release.
He is an eminent industrialist and a tea planter. Majumder is also associated with many social welfare activities. He established “Hafiz Majumder Education Trust” to provide financial assistance to build new schools and colleges as well as improve the quality of the education in Sylhet. Many academic institutions in Sylhet are receiving fund from this trust.
